Salute To National Veterans Week

February 15th, 2005

Here is Pamela with one of the pianos she and her students donated
in the Blind Rehab where it now resides.

The presentation for the instruments
that were donated arrived and our first stop at the VA Hospital
was in the extended unit at 11AM

The patients here were fantastic and really enjoyed our performance.
Some too fragile to move, showed their appreciation in their smiles and eyes lite up.

Sue McCormmick from The VA Hospital Voluntary services dept
(who was instrumental in getting the donated instruments to the VA Hospital),
talks about the CD, and what instruments were raised for the Hospital.


Next we all went up to the Blind Rehab dept where we also donated
a piano, guitar, and sheet music books.

Up in the Blind Rehab Center singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow",
"Happy Together", "Ain't She Sweet", & "Livin' In The Sunlight, Lovin' In The Moonlight"
on her 8 string tenor ukulele.

"All said and done, I set out to share my love of music with our Veterans
in the VA hospital. My students and I succeeded in selling enough
CDs to donate 1 upright electric piano, one keyboard, two guitars and amp,
plus sheet music." "I hope they use them and enjoy the contentment
