Pamela Davis Music Studios raised enough money from sales of their CD
"For Our Veterans Volume II." The money collected from the proceeds went to
purchase a big screen Television set for the Recreation Care Unit at the
Veterans Hospital in Riveria Beach in Palm Beach County. "The TV will be
used to educate and entertain patients, and is greatly appreciated," said
the managing director.
In just three weeks, Davis and her students sold enough CDs to purchase the
TV. The CD consisted of 20 songs recorded by 38 students, two local bands,
Second Hand Band and Point O Five, each contributing a song recorded at
Pamela Davis Music Studios. Davis produced, arranged, and performed on the
project as well.
The TV was donated through the JWV Auxiliary Ladies Department in memory of
Davis's grandmother, Minna D. Levine, a former National President from 1950-1952.
Also special thanks to local Jupiter
radio station WJTW for playing songs
from the CD on the air, plus two programs devoted to the cause.
